Making A 3D Backdrop Using ProBuilder In Unity

Today I am modeling a back wall for my 2.5D platformer building interior using the ProBuilder package.

Today’s Objective: 3D model a modular, seamless back wall for the interior of the science lab in my 2.5D platformer game using ProBuilder.

Note: Unlike yesterdays post, this isn’t a “guide” on how to use ProBuilder, but rather more of a showcase of what can easily be created using it. I’ll be showing gifs of my progress as I model the wall.

Let’s get started!

Now it can be any total size, and it will repeat. I created 4 sections in each, since I want a window, some wall space, plus some miscellaneous objects.

On the right, I want to make something like an item distributer:

Now to the left side for a built-in cabinet-of-sorts:

I’m pretty happy with the wall at this point, and it meets my needs, so I’ll stop here. I’ll add some better material textures later, as I’m planning to use Shader Graph for some cool effects.
