From Prototype To Professional

Once you’ve made your prototype concept and are happy with the base mechanics, it’s time to start swapping in better assets and making your game look good!

The prototype

Once the prototype has been made, and the core mechanics and gameplay loop established, improvements and refinements can be made. This process is what turns a gameplay prototype into a work of art.

The same core game and code, just with better art

By just switching the art, you can see how dramatic a difference it can make to how a game feels to play, and how likely it is for players to try it out!
